Leesburg staff changes announced
Leesburg has announced staff changes within the executive department.
The town says the goal is to greater emphasize economic development efforts and to aid existing businesses.
Karen Jones moves from business retention coordinator to community development coordinator to provide additional support in establishing a downtown management organization.
Debi Parry, formerly deputy clerk of council/management specialist, will step in as business retention coordinator.
Kathleen Leidich, assistant to the town manager, will move temporarily to the Department of Planning & Zoning to assist in zoning enforcement. Leidich, a certified planner, will hold that position until December 2010.
Betsy Fields, Leesburg research manager, becomes research and communications manager. Fields also will act as legislative liaison and grants program manager.
