One teenager has been charged and another is facing a charge of leaving the dead body of a 19-year-old South Riding man in the parking lot of Little River Elementary School in June.
In addition, a man has been charged with buying the teens alcohol.
The two teenage boys, a 17-year-old from South Riding and a 16-year-old from Woodbridge, are accused of leaving Peter Johannes Cathcart Vold's body in the school parking lot, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
The body was found about 2:20 a.m. June 18. The school is on Hyland Hills Street in South Riding.
The 17-year-old has been charged with concealment of a dead body, while a charge against the 16-year-old is pending. Their names were not released because they are juveniles.
Vold's body showed no signs of distress, Troxell said. The Virginia Medical Examiner's Office in Fairfax County has ruled that he died from alcohol poisoning.
Ryan B. McNeil, 24, of Fairfax, has been charged with purchasing alcohol for the teens.
“Prior to the discovery of the victim, the teenagers were apparently consuming alcohol in a wooded area in the Chantilly area,” Troxell said.
Court records show that Vold celebrated his 19th birthday two days before his body was found.
He attended Loudoun County High School as a freshman, then Freedom High School as a sophomore, junior and senior but withdrew from school in April, said Wayde Byard, spokesman for Loudoun County Public Schools.
Vold was raised in Cincinnati, then spent a year in Germany before moving to Loudoun in 2004. He was a dual citizen of Norway and the United States, family friend Stacia Frye said.
