Summer kickoff

Ashburn Farm hosts the eighth annual summer kickoff party May 24, 4 to 9:30 p.m. at Windmill Park.

This year marks the community's 20th anniversary, and several restaurants, wineries and vendors will be selling food and beverages.

A concert begins around 5 p.m., and the event features a fireworks show.

There is limited parking along Windmill Drive. A shuttle service will be provided from 5 to 10 p.m. from Breezyhill Pool to Windmill Park and back.

At the event, items will be collected for the Loudoun County Animal Shelter.

As always, proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities.

Volunteers are needed; call 703-729-6680 or e-mail ayoung@afhoa.net.
