Leesburg honors businesses

Leesburg Town Council and Leesburg Economic Development Commission honored local businesses May 13 at the Seventh Annual Business Appreciation Awards & Reception.

At the event Tuesday night, town leaders and business owners celebrated their efforts throughout the year at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg.

Winners were selected through a public nomination ballot.

Recipients of awards:

  • Tenderjacks for New Business Award; honorable mention went to Bush Veterinary Neurology Services

  • Lighthouse Concepts for the Home-based Business Award; honorable mention went to Future Focus Technologies

  • Loudoun Learning for the Innovation Award; honorable mention went to Galletta's Pasta

  • Acoustic on the Green for the Ambassador Award; honorable mention went to Leesburg Hobbies & Collectibles

  • English Manor Gardens & Interiors for the Heritage Award; honorable mention went to Plum Grove Cyclery and Lightfoot Restaurant

  • Brian Chavis for the George C. Marshall Award
