Perfect seasons

For the second year in a row, the Loudoun Country Day School boys' and girls' middle school lacrosse teams went undefeated during the regular season, and in postseason play.

Coaches Doug Fox (boys) and Laura Leigh (girls) attribute their success primarily to the leadership provided by this year's eighth-grade class.

Both teams posted 6-0 regular-season records and won the Piedmont Athletic Conference Tournament.

Runnin' and Gunnin'

Virginia Run n Gun, a competitive-level basketball team based in Sterling, finished second in the state in the U11 division of Youth Basketball of America.
