Dragons honor athletes
Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg hosted its annual Athletic Ceremony May 22.
Female Scholar Athlete of the Year went to Holly Fuller, who will attend Wake Forest University, and Male Scholar Athlete of the Year went to Michael Renzi, who is Georgetown University bound.
The Female Athlete of the Year went to Kelly Struder, who will enter the nursing program at Marymount University. Joe Peluso received Male Athlete of the Year and will play soccer at Greensboro College.
Four students received tri-athlete awards for lettering in three varsity sports -- seniors Joe Peluso and Kelly Struder, and sophomores Emily Young and Sammi Heaslip.
