Bulldogs claim Northern Region soccer title

The Stone Bridge Bulldogs made Ronnie Shaban's goal in the opening minutes hold up as they defeated Robinison 1-0 in the Northern Region boys' soccer championship game May 30 at Yorktown High School.

Shaban scored less than three minutes into the game off a long throw-in from Chris Kamara. The defensive core of Wan Soo Seo, Chris Kamara, Caleb Roberston and Abdul Shaban, along with Matt Miscione in goal helped secure the win for the Bulldogs.

Stone Bridge (18-1-1) will host Kecoughtan in a Virginia AAA quarterfinal round game June 3 in Ashburn. Game time will be announced June 2.
