Welcome home to Ashburn

Few homes can balance grandeur without imposing, but this one has done it. In this gorgeous neighborhood in Broadlands, it's easy to fall in love at first sight.

Walking through the front door, you will be taken aback by the beauty of the open floorplan. To the left of the foyer is a study with wood blinds covering floor-to-ceiling windows -- an upgrade seen throughout.

The formal living room, the formal dining room and the two-story foyer are offset by columns. Triple crown molding and recessed lighting grace both rooms, with shadow-box trim and a chandelier dropped from a medallion in the dining room.

A beautiful butler's pantry – with cherry cabinets and a granite countertop – rests in the entrance to the kitchen and a large walk-in pantry is on the other. The black granite countertops and cherry cabinets continue through the kitchen, which also has stainless steel appliances. A center island provides enough space for eating, and a five-burner cooktop has a hidden electronic draft. The breakfast area leads out to a screened-in porch, complete with ceiling fan. Just outside the porch is a Trex deck leading down to a brick patio on .41 landscaped acres.

Back inside, the mudroom area has an exit to the two-bay garage, a powder room with a cabinet sink and a large laundry room with a dry sink.

At the back of the house, the family room features an expanse of windows overlooking the wooded backyard. A gas fireplace, ceiling fan and recessed lighting finish off the room. French doors open to the main-level suite. This room has a full bathroom and could be either an in-law or au pair suite.

Upstairs, two bedrooms share a full bathroom on one end, and down the hall, a princess suite has three windows and a full bathroom. Another princess suite with four windows is just down the hall.

The master suite is something to behold. Windows line the suite, which contains a large sitting room. The bedroom has a tray ceiling, and an extra vanity sits just outside the bathroom, separating the large his and her closets. The bathroom has tile floors, his and her vanities, a linen closet, a water closet, a two-person soak tub and a separate tile shower with a bench.

Like entertaining? The lower level is perfect for you. Two large rooms at the foot of the stairs are ideal for a gym, music or recreational room. Down the hall, the media room is set up for a flat-screen TV. Built-in speakers can be tapped for a state-of-the-art sound system connected to the entire house. Wall sconces and a ceiling fan finish off the room.

Just outside the media room is a large recreational room with a wall of windows on one side and a wet bar with granite countertops, a stainless steel dishwasher and a mini-refrigerator on the other. This room has two mounts waiting for flat-screen TVs. A bedroom with a full bathroom is on the other end of the lower level.

Welcome home.
