Openings


'Closer': Opens Friday, Feb. 15. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 15-16, 22-23, Feb. 29-March 1, at 8 p.m.; Sundays, Feb. 17 and 24, at 7 p.m. Performances are at the Waddell Theater, Loudoun NOVA Campus, Sterling. Written by Patrick Marber and directed by Natalie V. Safley. 2nd Flight Productions presents this British comedy-drama of coupling and uncoupling, instant attraction and inveterate infidelity. 'Moon Over Buffalo': Opens Friday, Feb. 22. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 22-23, Feb. 29-March 1, March 7-8, at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, Feb. 24 and March 2 at 2 p.m. Performances are at the James Lee Community Center Theater, 2855 Annandale Road, Falls Church. Written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Beth Hughes-Brown. Providence Players presents this madcap comedy about two leading actors of the 1950s, George and Charlotte Hay. 'Urinetown, the Musical': Opens Friday, Feb. 29. Showtimes are Fridays, Feb. 29-March 1, March 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, at 8 p.m. Sundays, March 9 and 16 at 2:30 p.m. The March 8 performance will be sign interpreted for the deaf and hearing impaired. Music and lyrics by Mark Hollman. Book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. Directed by Andrew JM Regiec. A Reston Community Players production.  In a world wracked by ecological disasters, a single malevolent company profits by charging admission fees for one of humanity's most basic needs. Reston Community Players: Auditions for "Bus Stop" are Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Five men and three women, ages 18-60s. Prepare ballad for "Cherie."
